Ingredients for 4 people


  • '4 chicken thighs (skinless)
  • 2 tablespoons of peanut oil
  • 2 onions, finely sliced
  • Juice from 2 lemons
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 green chili, chopped (optional)




In a large bowl, combine lemon juice, finely sliced onions, minced garlic, pepper, and chili. Mix well.
Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
In a large pot or skillet, heat the peanut oil over medium heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and brown the thighs on both sides.
Add the reserved marinade to the pot and simmer on low heat for 30-35 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has reduced.
Serve hot with rice or millet.
